The US is big, so most trips pick a coast: California for Los Angeles, San Francisco and Yosemite National Park, with Las Vegas as the base for the Grand Canyon, or New York City for Broadway, ferries and food. Orlando is for theme parks, Yellowstone National Park for geysers and bison, and Honolulu for Waikiki swims. There's no direct flight from KL, so it's at least one stop, usually via Tokyo, Seoul or Taipei.
