Places to visit in Egypt

Egypt is the Nile first: Cairo for the Giza pyramids and pharaonic treasures, Luxor for painted royal tombs and huge temple columns, and Aswan for Nubian villages and boats between the islands. After that, the Red Sea is for reefs and beach days at Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh or Dahab. From KL it's one stop to Cairo, usually via Dubai, Doha or Istanbul, then a short flight to Luxor, Aswan or the coast.
