Places to visit in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka packs a lot into a small island: Sigiriya's rock-top palace in the Cultural Triangle, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya for temples, tea estates and cool air, Galle's old fort and Mirissa's curved bay on the south coast, and leopards and elephants in Yala National Park. Colombo is about three and a half hours direct from KL, and most trips loop around the island by road from there.
