Selangor is the day-trip state around KL: Batu Caves, bak kut teh in Klang, satay in Kajang and fireflies at Kuala Selangor. For an early start, Broga Hill and Bukit Tabur are sunrise hikes, and Sekinchan's paddy fields make a good drive with seafood at the end. Almost everything here is within about two hours of KL, so most trips are there and back in a day.
