Places to visit in Johor

Johor is beaches, islands and food towns at the bottom of the peninsula. Desaru has beach resorts and a water park, Mersing is the jetty town for Rawa Island, and Johor Bahru, Kluang and Batu Pahat are all about the makan. JB is about three and a half to four hours' drive from KL, so most people pick either the city or the east coast for one weekend.
