Croatia is mostly a coast trip: Dubrovnik for its walled old town above the Adriatic, Split for everyday streets inside a Roman palace, and Hvar for stone harbour towns and swimming coves, a short boat ride from Split. Inland, Plitvice Lakes is wooden paths over clear lakes and waterfalls, and Zagreb is an easy capital to start or finish in. From KL it's one stop, usually via Istanbul.
