Greece is islands with history on the side: Athens for the Acropolis and long dinners in neighbourhood squares, then Santorini for white villages on volcanic cliffs and Mykonos for windmills, beaches and lively evenings. Crete has Minoan ruins and long beaches, and Meteora has monasteries on top of rock pillars. From KL it's one stop to Athens, usually via Dubai, Doha or Istanbul, then a ferry or short flight to the islands.
