The old seat of the Kinta district from the tin-boom days, with an 1892 courthouse and a cemetery for those killed in the Emergency. Add Lat's kampung-house gallery, close to where the cartoonist grew up, and Kellie's Castle down the road, and it's an easy day out from Ipoh.
