pudu
A working wet market, old shophouses and a hawker breakfast at ICC Pudu.
- Best time
- Any time of year, early in the morning. The market and the food court wind down by lunchtime.
- How long
- Half a day
- Getting there
- Take the Ampang or Sri Petaling LRT line to Pudu; the market and ICC Pudu are both about five minutes' walk away. Driving from the city centre takes about 10 minutes, but parking near the market is a fight; ICC Pudu has its own car park.

Pudu is one of KL's older working neighbourhoods, and its day starts early at the wet market on Jalan Pasar Baharu. When Imbi market made way for TRX, its hawkers moved round the corner to ICC Pudu, so breakfast here is some of the best in the city.

Things to do
- Pudu wet marketOne of KL's biggest, with fish, meat and vegetables from before dawn. Keep clear of the trolleys.Map ↗

Good to know
- Much of the hawker food here contains pork and isn't halal.
- Wear shoes with grip in the wet market, and bring cash for the stalls.
