- Any time of year. The streets light up for Deepavali, usually in October or November, and the Thaipusam procession sets off from here in January or February. Both bring big crowds.

- About 4–5 hours' drive from KL to Singapore, plus border queues. Buses from KL take about 5–6 hours, and flights about an hour. Little India, Farrer Park and Rochor MRT stations are all within walking distance.
