Riverside glamping, cool kampung air and durian season, about an hour from KL.
- Best time
- Any time. Mornings are cool all year, and durian season, roughly June to August, is a bonus. Skip river dips after heavy rain.
- How long
- 2 days, 1 night
- Getting there
- About 45 minutes to an hour from KL via the Karak Highway. Public transport is thin, so drive or take a Grab.

A kampung in the Bentong hills, about 45 km east of KL and around 800 m up, where small rivers run between orchards and forest. It's a favourite weekend escape for city folk, with riverside homestays, glamping sites and cafés.

Good to know
- Rivers can rise very fast after rain upstream. Get out of the water when it starts raining or turns cloudy.
- Bring mosquito repellent.
- The roads are narrow and winding. Drive slowly, especially after dark.
