- How long
- 2 days, 1 night
- Getting there
- About 3.5 hours' drive from KL on the East Coast Expressway. Or fly to Kuantan in about 45 minutes and drive another 45 minutes north.

A small beach village on the Pahang coast, about 47 km north of Kuantan. It's known for a relaxed surf scene in the monsoon months, a turtle sanctuary on Chendor Beach and evening boat rides to see fireflies along the Cherating River.

Good to know
- The sea gets rough and the currents strong in the monsoon. Only swim when it's calm, and watch for warning flags.
- At the turtle sanctuary, follow the staff's lead. No flash photos and no touching the turtles.
