A kampung of coconut trees and fishing boats on the old coast road between Kuantan and Pekan. Kuantan people come down for an open, uncrowded beach, then carry on to Pekan or head back to the city for seafood.

Good to know

  • Some beachfront land is private, so use the public access paths.
  • Swim only when the sea is calm, and never in the monsoon months, when the waves get big.
  • Go early. By midday there's little shade on the sand.
