Alacati is a village of old Greek stone houses and bougainvillea on the Çeşme peninsula, with one of the Aegean's best-known windsurfing bays just to the south. In summer it's one of Turkey's busiest weekend escapes.

Good to know
- The windsurf beach is a few kilometres south of the village, so base yourself near whichever you'll use more.
- Meat is halal as standard, though Alacati's summer nights revolve around its bars.
