Turkey usually starts in Istanbul, for Bosphorus ferries, domed mosques and market lanes, then heads to Cappadocia for rock-cut churches and valleys of stone chimneys. Add Pamukkale's white terraces, Selcuk for Ephesus, the turquoise bays around Fethiye and Kas, or Gaziantep for pistachio baklava. Istanbul is about 11 hours direct from KL on Turkish Airlines, and most other places are a domestic flight on from there.
