Places to visit in Melaka

Melaka is the classic weekend of food and history: Jonker Street after dark, chicken rice balls, cendol and the old town along the river. Ayer Keroh has the zoo and Mini Malaysia for families, and Tanjung Bidara is a quieter beach up the coast. It's about two hours' drive from KL, so one night away is usually enough.
