Places to visit in Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan is mountains and lakes: Issyk-Kul is a huge blue lake between snowy ranges, with beaches, red canyons and yurt stays, and Bishkek has shady parks and mountain valleys close enough for a day out. Down south, Osh has a sacred rocky mountain and some of the country's best plov and samsa. From KL it's one stop to Bishkek, usually via Almaty or Tashkent.
