Penang is about 4 hours' drive from KL over the Penang Bridge, or about an hour's flight. Tech Dome is in KOMTAR in central George Town; most Rapid Penang buses stop at the KOMTAR terminal, and there's parking in the complex.

Penang's science centre fills KOMTAR's geodesic dome with more than 120 hands-on exhibits on light, forces, the brain and robots. Kids can scale the climbing wall, move a ball with their brainwaves on Mindball and find their way through the laser room, which makes it a good half-day when George Town is too hot or too wet.
