Fly with one stop to Zurich, usually via Singapore, Dubai or Istanbul, about 15–17 hours all in. The train takes about 2 hours, changing at Lucerne. Switzerland is 6 hours behind KL in summer and 7 in winter.

Engelberg sits at the end of a valley below Titlis, with a Benedictine monastery at the heart of the village. Lifts climb to a glacier and an ice cave at 3,000 metres, or to quieter meadows and lakes lower down.

Good to know

  • Titlis and Brunni are on opposite sides of the valley; on a short visit, pick one.
  • The Rotair is shut for maintenance until mid-December 2026, but the Titlis Connect gondola still takes you to the summit.
  • Titlis is hugely popular with Indian visitors, so the village has several Indian restaurants; ask which ones use halal meat.
