chenderiang
Lata Kinjang's long white cascades, the ones you glimpse from the North–South Expressway.
- Best time
- Any time of year. January–February and June–August are usually drier, which makes the rocks and steps easier. After heavy rain the water rises fast, so give it a miss.
- How long
- Half a day
- Getting there
- About 2 hours' drive from KL on the North–South Expressway: leave at Tapah and head north on the old trunk road towards Chenderiang. Ipoh is about an hour away.

Chenderiang is a quiet old village north of Tapah, and Lata Kinjang is why you come. The falls drop in long white tiers down the hillside, visible from the North–South Expressway, and the eco-park at their foot is run by the Orang Asli cooperative from the neighbouring Kampung Lata Kinjang.

Good to know
- Wear shoes with grip. The rocks by the falls are slippery even on a dry day.
- Don't climb into the upper falls or swim when the water's up; it rises fast after rain upstream.
- Weekends bring the families. Come on a weekday morning for the falls to yourself.
