tanjung sepat
Handmade pau, old coffee roasters and a seafood lunch in a small coastal fishing town.
- Best time
- Any time of year. Arrive in the morning: the pau shops sell out by the afternoon, especially at weekends. Stay for the sunset, since the coast faces west.
- How long
- Day trip
- Getting there
- About 1.5 hours' drive from KL, via the ELITE or the SKVE to Banting, then the coast road south past Morib. There's no handy public transport.

Good to know
- Many pau fillings contain pork, and the bak kut teh isn't halal. For a halal meal, the asam pedas places in Batu Laut are the easy choice.
- Combine it with Morib and Jugra on the drive back.
- Bring a cool bag for fresh seafood and mushrooms.
