sungai lepoh waterfall
A steep jungle walk to cold pools and a natural rock slide in the hills of Hulu Langat.
- Best time
- February to October, after a few dry days. Selangor's forest areas usually close from mid-November to the end of January, and the river can surge without warning after rain upstream.
- How long
- 1 day
- Getting there
- About an hour's drive from KL via Cheras and Jalan Hulu Langat towards Pangsun, about 10 minutes beyond the Sungai Congkak turn-off. Park in the village at the trailhead. There's no public transport.

Lepoh is the Hulu Langat waterfall you have to earn: about an hour and a half on foot from the village, through orchards and forest, with a river crossing and a steep last stretch. At the end there are cold pools and a smooth rock face that people slide down into the water.

Things to do
Good to know
- Register and pay the small entry fee at the start; the trail crosses village and private land, so stay on the path.
- Get out of the water at once if it rises or turns brown. A sudden surge trapped 18 people here in May 2025.
- Leech socks and insect repellent help on the forest stretch.
Last checked October 2026. Things change, so check opening times, fees and transport before you go.
