Stellenbosch is a university town of oak-lined streets and white gabled Cape Dutch houses, with mountains rising behind the farms. The farms are famous for wine, but they also do gardens, picnics and walks.

Good to know
- Tours here revolve around wine tastings; say if you'd rather do gardens, food and scenery.
- Halal options are limited. Cape Town, under an hour away, has far more.
