Golden beaches and jungle trails on a quiet stretch of Sarawak coast.
- Best time
- March to October for calmer seas, which is also roughly when turtles nest. Rough seas from around November to February can stop boat trips.
- How long
- 1 day, or 2 days, 1 night
- Getting there
- Fly from KL to Bintulu, about 2 hours. The park is about 30 km from town, around 30–40 minutes by car.

A coastal national park north of Bintulu, where forest meets a string of golden beaches and rocky headlands. Trails run along the coast to quiet bays, and turtles come ashore to nest on some of the beaches.
Things to do
- Coastal trailThe main trail follows the coast through forest to a series of beaches.Map ↗
- Turtle BeachTwo quiet coves a few hours' walk from HQ, where turtles nest in season.Map ↗
- Golden BeachThe furthest beach, nearly 10 km out. Walk one way and arrange a boat for the other.Map ↗

Good to know
- Don't swim in the rivers or near river mouths. Saltwater crocodiles live here.
- Check with Sarawak Forestry before you go. Bridges and trails sometimes close for repairs.
- Carry plenty of water. Parts of the trail are hot and exposed.
