A small island in a protected marine park south of Langkawi, known for its coral and clear water. Most people come on a day trip from Langkawi to snorkel, and young reef sharks are a regular sight near the beach.

Things to do

  1. SnorkellingThe sheltered water around the island is shallow, clear and full of reef fish.Map ↗
  2. Baby blacktip reef sharksYoung sharks often cruise the shallows near the beach. They're harmless, but give them space.Map ↗

Good to know

  • It's a marine park. Don't touch or stand on coral, don't feed the fish, and don't take shells or coral home.
  • Visits are usually by tour package from Langkawi, so book a day or two ahead.
  • There's little shade on the water. Bring reef-safe sunscreen and a rash guard.
