Stone bridges, red roofs and castle views, with trams linking the hills and old neighbourhoods.
- Best time
- April–June and September–October are best for walking. July–August is crowded and can be hot; December has Christmas markets, while January–February is cold and dark early.
- How long
- 3–4 days
- Getting there
- Fly with one stop, usually via Dubai, Doha or Istanbul, about 15–17 hours all in. Buses link the airport to the metro and the main station in 30–45 minutes. Czechia is 6 hours behind KL in summer and 7 in winter.

Prague's old centre came through the 20th century almost intact, spread across both banks of the Vltava with a castle on the hill above. The famous streets get crowded, but quieter neighbourhoods are a short tram ride away.

Good to know
- Turkish and Arab restaurants around Wenceslas Square are the easiest halal option; Czech cooking uses a lot of pork and lard.
- Validate a paper transport ticket once, when you first use it; it then covers every transfer until it runs out.
