A fishing town on the coast road south of Muar, where lunch means asam pedas. The stalls sit by the jetty at Pantai Leka, so the fish doesn't travel far, and the mudflats and mangroves next door fill with shorebirds from around October to March.

Good to know
- Get to the asam pedas stalls before noon on weekends; they fill up fast at lunch.
- If birds are the plan, bring binoculars and check a tide table. At high tide the flats disappear.
- Pair it with Muar for a full day of eating.
