November–March are cooler and drier, though Christmas, New Year and spring break are very busy. Summer is hot and humid with afternoon thunderstorms, and August–September carry the highest hurricane risk.

Getting there
Fly with one stop via London or Dubai, or with two via an Asian hub and a US city such as Atlanta, about 24–30 hours all in. The airport is 25–40 minutes from the main park areas. Orlando is 12 hours behind KL, 13 from November to early March. Malaysians need a US B1/B2 visitor visa, usually with an interview at the embassy in KL; ESTA isn't open to Malaysian passports.

  • Check exactly which parks a ticket covers; hopping between parks on the same day costs extra.
  • Put a rest day between big park days, and arrive at opening for the most popular rides.
