Getting there
Lufthansa flies direct from KL to Frankfurt from late October 2026, about 13 hours; otherwise it's one stop via Dubai, Doha or Istanbul. The ICE from Frankfurt takes about 2 hours, and Turkish Airlines also flies to Nuremberg via Istanbul. Germany is 6 hours behind KL in summer and 7 in winter.

Nuremberg has a walled old town of sandstone churches and half-timbered houses, with an imperial castle on top. It also faces its darker past head-on: the Nazi rallies were held here, and so were the post-war trials.

  • The main station is just outside the walls, a short walk from the old town.
