long pasia
A Lundayeh highland village for homestays, pitcher-plant forest and the trek to Maga Falls.
- Best time
- March to August usually has the most dry spells. It rains in every month, though, and a wet week turns the access road and the forest trails to mud. Nights are cool at this height.
- How long
- 3–4 days
- Getting there
- Fly from KL to Kota Kinabalu (about 2.5 hours) and drive about 3 hours south to Sipitang. The last stretch is a rough road that needs a 4WD, another 3–5 hours depending on the weather, so the trip from KK takes most of a day. Homestays arrange the 4WD from Sipitang.

A Lundayeh village at about 1,000 metres in Sabah's far south-west, close to the Sarawak and Kalimantan borders. There's no resort, just family homestays, paddy fields, heath forest full of pitcher plants and some of Sabah's least-walked trails. The trek to Maga Falls is the big one.
