London is huge, so pick a few neighbourhoods rather than chasing every landmark. Many of the big museums are free, and the Thames ties the famous sights together.

Good to know

  • Halal is easy: Whitechapel, Edgware Road and Southall are packed with halal restaurants.
  • Tap in and out with your bank card on the Tube and buses; daily fares are capped automatically.
  • Group sights by area, because crossing London takes longer than you think.

Last checked October 2026. Things change, so check opening times, fees and transport before you go.
