A river town in northern Sarawak that sits between the two halves of Brunei. It's a quiet place with a small museum in an old fort, a busy market and easy access across to Brunei's capital.

- If you're driving, your car needs insurance that covers Brunei.
- Brunei doesn't sell alcohol and dress is conservative, especially at mosques.
