koh rong sanloem
Koh Rong's quieter sister, with Saracen Bay's calm turquoise water.
- Best time
- November to April is dry, with calm seas and clear water. The rainy season, from about May to October, brings rougher crossings and more rain.
- How long
- 2–3 days
- Getting there
- Fly KL to Phnom Penh (about 2 hours), then about 3 hours by road to Sihanoukville. Speedboats from Sihanoukville take about 45 minutes to an hour, and some stop at Koh Rong too.

A smaller island just south of Koh Rong, about 25 km off Sihanoukville and part of the same marine national park. Life centres on Saracen Bay, a long curve of white sand and calm, clear water, with quieter bays on the far side of the island. It's slower and more relaxed than its bigger sister.

Good to know
- Bring enough cash. There are few or no ATMs on the island, and not every resort takes cards.
- Some resorts run on generators with limited hours of power and patchy Wi-Fi. Check before you book if it matters.
