jewel changi airport

Giant indoor waterfall and forest, worth the trip even if you're not flying.

Best time
It's all indoors, so any time works. Come in the evening for the light and sound show on the waterfall, and skip weekend afternoons and school holidays if you don't like crowds.
How long
2–4 hours
Getting there
Flights from KL to Changi take about an hour. From JB, cross the Causeway and take the MRT to Changi Airport station, which links to Jewel. Allow about 1.5 hours from Woodlands.

A glass-domed complex linked to Changi Airport's Terminals 1, 2 and 3, built around the Rain Vortex, the world's tallest indoor waterfall. Around it are five storeys of indoor forest, gardens, a hotel and about 300 shops and restaurants. You don't need a flight to visit, and it's easy to add before one.

Good to know

  • Jewel is on the public side of the airport, so anyone can visit without a boarding pass.
  • Some airlines offer early check-in here, so you can drop your bags before exploring.

Last checked October 2026. Things change, so check opening times, fees and transport before you go.
