jervis bay
Pale beaches, clear bays and dolphin cruises from the little town of Huskisson.
- Best time
- October–April is beach weather, though January is packed with holidaymakers. June–August is too cool for most swimmers but good for coastal walks, and humpbacks pass from May to November.
- How long
- 2–3 days
- Getting there
- Fly direct to Sydney in about 8 hours, then it's about 3 hours' drive south to Huskisson. New South Wales is 2 hours ahead of KL, 3 during daylight saving (October to early April).

Jervis Bay is a big, sheltered bay of famously white sand and clear water, about three hours south of Sydney. Huskisson is the base for boats and food, and Booderee National Park covers the wild southern shore.

Good to know
- Booderee is run separately from the NSW parks, so it has its own entry pass.
- Hyams has very little parking; walking in along the White Sands track from Vincentia is easier on a busy day.
- Halal food is hard to find around the bay; bring supplies from Sydney, where it's easy.
