Sleepy seaside town by the Cambodian border, with ferries to Phu Quoc.
- Best time
- December to April is dry with calm seas. The rainy season from May to November can bring rough water, and ferries are sometimes cancelled.
- How long
- 1–2 days
- Getting there
- Fly from KL to Phu Quoc (under 2 hours) and take a fast boat across (about 1.5 hours), or fly to Ho Chi Minh City and go by bus or car for about 7 hours. Kampot and Kep in Cambodia are a short drive over the border.

A quiet riverside town on the Gulf of Thailand, right by the Cambodian border. Most people pass through on the way to Phu Quoc or Cambodia, but it's worth a night for its lagoon, cave temples and seafood.
