Island of breezy Windy Hill, the garden isle of Oedo and pebble beaches near Busan.
- Best time
- Spring for flowers on Oedo and camellias along the coast, and summer for the beaches. Boat trips need calm seas, so windy days can scrap plans.
- How long
- 1–2 days
- Getting there
- Fly from KL to Busan (about 6 hours). From Busan it's about an hour by car or intercity bus across the Geoga Bridge.

Korea's second-largest island, linked to Busan by bridges and an undersea tunnel. Beyond the big shipyards it has a rugged coast of pebble beaches and clifftop viewpoints, plus boat trips to Oedo, a small island turned into a garden.

Good to know
- Oedo boats give you a set time on the island before the return trip, so plan around it.
- A car makes life much easier. The sights are spread out and buses are slow.
