Kuala Dungun is a laid-back town on the Terengganu coast that once shipped out iron ore from the mines at Bukit Besi. These days it's a base for Pulau Tenggol, nearby beaches and the old turtle beach at Rantau Abang, and it comes alive every Thursday night.
