Dingle is a small, colourful fishing town in Ireland's far south-west, with Irish still spoken in the villages around it. Come for seafood, pub music and the Slea Head loop of beaches, cliffs and ancient stone huts.

Good to know

  • Drive Slea Head clockwise, from Ventry towards Dunquin; tour buses go that way and the road is narrow.
  • There's no halal food on the peninsula, so self-catering is the way to go.
