- Spring and autumn are best. Late spring brings azaleas to Sobaeksan, and October brings autumn colours. Paragliding runs most of the year but depends on the wind.

- Fly from KL to Seoul (about 6.5 hours). The KTX-Eum from Seoul's Cheongnyangni station takes about 1.5 hours, or it's about 2.5 hours by car or bus.

A small town in a bend of the Namhan River, surrounded by limestone mountains. It's Korea's best-known paragliding spot, and has caves, rock formations rising out of the river and Sobaeksan National Park on its doorstep.

Good to know
- Book paragliding ahead on weekends, and expect flights to be called off in bad weather.
- The caves are damp and narrow in places. Wear shoes with grip.
