Vietnam's cool flower city: pine hills, cosy cafés and strawberry farms.
- Best time
- December to March is dry and cool, with flowers in bloom, and nights can be properly cold. May to October is the rainy season, mostly afternoon showers. Lunar New Year and Vietnamese holidays get very crowded.
- How long
- 2–3 days
- Getting there
- Fly KL to Ho Chi Minh City (about 2 hours), then under an hour on a domestic flight to Lien Khuong Airport, about 40 minutes from town. Sleeper buses from Saigon take about 7–8 hours.

A highland town about 1,500 metres up on the Langbiang Plateau, first built by the French as a hill station. It's cool all year, with pine forests, lakes, flower farms and old French villas, plus one of the country's biggest café scenes. Think Cameron Highlands, with more mist and more coffee.

Good to know
- Pack a jacket. Evenings get cold, especially from December to February.
- Avoid Lunar New Year and Vietnamese long weekends, when hotels fill up with visitors from Saigon.
