A highland farm and resort area 1,700 to 2,000 metres up in the mountains of Nantou. Sheep graze on green slopes, the air is cool, and the hillsides are dotted with European-style B&Bs. It's also on the road up to Hehuanshan.

Good to know
- Hehuanshan is over 3,000 metres. Take it slowly and head down if you feel unwell.
- Bring warm layers. Nights are cold even in summer.
- The road up is twisty. Take motion sickness pills if you get carsick.
