Mekong border town with Cham villages, floating houses and Sam Mountain.
- Best time
- December to April is dry and easy for travel. From around August to November the floodwaters rise, when Tra Su forest is at its greenest. The Lady Xu festival on Sam Mountain draws huge crowds in the fourth lunar month.

- Getting there
- Fly from KL to Ho Chi Minh City (about 2 hours), then about 5–6 hours by bus or car. Fast boats also run down the river from Phnom Penh, a popular way to combine Cambodia and Vietnam.

A busy river town on the Hau River, a branch of the Mekong, near the Cambodian border. Vietnamese, Khmer, Chinese and Muslim Cham communities live side by side, and you come for the floating fish farms, the temples on Sam Mountain and the flooded forests nearby.
