A small volcanic island in the Bohol Sea, just off the north coast of Mindanao. In a couple of days you can snorkel over a sunken cemetery, soak in hot and cold springs, chase waterfalls and walk out on a white sandbar facing Mount Hibok-Hibok.

Good to know

  • Rent a scooter or hire a multicab. The coastal road loops the whole island in a few hours.
  • Climbing Mount Hibok-Hibok is inside a protected area and needs a permit and a guide.
  • Travel advisories for Mindanao mostly concern other provinces, but check your government's latest advice before you book.
