Korea's second city and biggest port, spread out between mountains and the sea. It's more relaxed than Seoul, with city beaches, hillside villages, a seaside temple and some of the best seafood in the country.

Good to know
- Malaysians have needed a K-ETA, Korea's online travel authorisation, in recent years. Check the current rules and apply on the official site well before you fly.
- Gamcheon is a residential area. Keep noise down and don't photograph people's homes up close.
- A T-money card works on Busan's subway and buses too.
Last checked October 2026. Things change, so check opening times, fees and transport before you go.
