bukit kiara
Wooded hill walks and a lakeside stroll on the TTDI side of KL.
- Best time
- Any time of year, early in the morning. The dirt trails get slippery after heavy rain; stick to the paved paths then.
- How long
- Half a day
- Getting there
- Take the MRT Kajang line to TTDI, then walk about 15 minutes or take a short Grab to Taman Lembah Kiara. Driving from the city centre takes about 20 minutes via the SPRINT Highway. On weekends the roadside parking fills soon after dawn.

Bukit Kiara is KL's weekend hill: a federal park of secondary forest above TTDI, where joggers, hikers and mountain bikers are out on the trails from dawn. The Taman Lembah Kiara lake park at the bottom, reopened in 2026 after an upgrade, suits an easier family walk.

Things to do
Good to know
- Stick to signposted trails. The network is a maze, and some routes on old hiking apps are closed.
- Watch for mountain bikers on shared trails, and keep food away from the monkeys.
Last checked October 2026. Things change, so check opening times, fees and transport before you go.
