The Bujang Valley, at the foot of Gunung Jerai, is Malaysia's richest archaeological area: the remains of a Hindu-Buddhist trading kingdom that thrived here from around the 5th to the 14th century. Dozens of brick and stone temples, called candi, have been dug up, and finds at Sungai Batu may go back to the early centuries AD.
Things to do

Good to know
- The museum and Sungai Batu are a short drive apart, so you'll want a car.
- Bring a hat and water, and don't climb on the ruins.
