Terraced green tea fields rolling down the hills. Green tea ice cream is mandatory.
- Best time
- April and May, when the new leaves are bright green and the green tea festival is on. The fields stay green through summer, often with misty mornings.
- How long
- Half a day
- Getting there
- Fly from KL to Seoul (about 6.5 hours). Take the KTX to Gwangju (about 2 hours), then a bus to Boseong (about 1.5 hours). By car it pairs easily with Suncheon and Yeosu.

A rural county near Korea's south coast and the country's best-known green tea region. The tea bushes wrap around the hills in neat green rows, and a slow walk through them is the main reason to come.
