Apple orchards, theme parks and fresh highland air right next to Malang.
- Best time
- Cool all year. Weekdays are far quieter; weekends and Indonesian school holidays bring heavy traffic.
- How long
- 2 days
- Getting there
- Fly KL to Surabaya, about 2.5 hours, then about 2.5–3 hours by road. From Malang it's 30–60 minutes, depending on traffic.

A highland town on the slopes of Mount Arjuno, about 20 km northwest of Malang. It was a Dutch hill retreat and is now East Java's family playground, with apple orchards, theme parks and cool evening air.
