bach ma national park
Old French hill-station ruins and waterfalls between Hue and Da Nang.
- Best time
- February to August is drier and best for hiking. September to December is very wet, as Bach Ma is one of the rainiest places in Vietnam. The summit is cool all year and often in cloud.
- How long
- 1–2 days
- Getting there
- Fly from KL to Da Nang (about 2.5 hours). The park gate is about 1.5 hours' drive from Da Nang or about an hour from Hue. From there, the summit road can be done on foot, by motorbike or in the park's own cars.

A mountain national park between Hue and Da Nang, topped by the ruins of a 1930s French hill station. Trails lead through cool, misty forest to waterfalls and a summit with views out to the coast.

Good to know
- Wear good shoes and bring a raincoat. The trails are steep and slippery.
- It's much cooler up top than on the coast, so pack a light jacket.
